ABOUT CAMILLA

Danish born Camilla Storgaard (1989*) is a Berlin based artist and photographer specialized in portraiture, nudity, boudoir, beauty and fashion photography. Her modern vision on the body, gender and sexuality takes you under the skin of her subjects. Her figurative photographs form her images into new story telling photography; showcasing the urban life, dominated by women and gender non-conforming individuals.

Shooting both analogue and digitally, Camilla manages to capture the grainy, in-depth, intensity of the old craft, as well as a sharp, crisp and modern version of what photography is today.

Camilla finished her Bachelor of Arts in Photography at Berliner Technischer Kunsthochschule in 2017, and have been featured in publications, such as INDIE-, Kaltblut- and Sova Magazine, among others.

Her work has also been exhibited throughout Europe during Positions Art Fair in Berlin, Pink Screens Film festival in Brussels and took part in the group show "BUNKER"during the photofestival Les Rencontres d'Arles, to mention a few.

From 2010-2020, Camilla worked as production-assistant at Studio Olafur Eliasson, which have had great influence on her delicate use of light, colors and composition.

 

Camilla's work has always been curious about sexuality, gender and embodiment, so after finishing her training in Copenhagen in 2020, she now works as a sex and couples counselor professionally.
